Nitecore is the first manufacturer to incorporate die cas t i ng into the making of a flashlight. This
manufacturing process gives a flashlight a significant reduction in weight and size, and an increase in
solidity and heat dissipation. Die-cast flashlights are extremely lightweight, c omp a c t and robust. Take
the EC4 as an example, it is 37% smaller and 30% lighter than products of similar functionality and yet
has 200% the strength of an ordinary C N C mach i ned rival. By employing new techniques/technologies,

Most of the NITECORE flashlights are constructed from lightweight, high strength a e r o s p a c e gr ade
a l umi num alloy. Additionally, the majority of NITECORE models are C N C ma c h i n e d from a solid
aluminum bar. This manufacturing process gives NITECORE flashlights their superior impact resistance.
Many lights are able to withstand being rolled over by ca r or dropped from several meters onto a hard
surface with no performance loss (not r ecommended as doing so may void warranty). Compa r ed
to other similar tubular aluminum flashlights, NITECORE flashlights offer significant strengths in both
rigidity and performance. Furthermore, most of the NITECORE models are treated with a military-spec
HANI hard anodized finish, making the flashlight surface as tough as a diamond, thus protecting it from
scratches, abrasions and corrosion.
